Netflix Original Series: Blown Away Season 1

Momoko Schafer was featured on the first ever TV show and online series about the art of glassblowing. She was scouted by Marblemedia in 2018. The show was cosigned by the world renowned Corning Museum of Glass with an opportunity to win an artist residency at the museum. At the time Momoko was 24 years old with about 5 years of experience working with glass. She was in the middle of a residency at the Worcester Center for Crafts, teaching at New Street Glass Studio, and assisting Toots Zynsky. Reality TV was an unexpected side-quest that helped boost Momoko’s creative career.
‘Everyday Polka Dot’ from Episode 6 is currently on display at the Corning Museum of Glass.
