This Daruma is covered in green dew drops. One of the first pieces to veer away from my usual pinks and purples. This piece is only on sale until I find and edit the rest of the photos for this.
The green polkadots are created by taking a larger chunk of solid green, processing the color into a long thin rod, chopped into a workable lengths for drawing, then using a welding torch to melt and sculpt each yummy little dew drop.
Darumas at this scale is a clear mark of my experience in not only the hot shop/ furnace glass studio, but also in flame shops/ lamp working glass. I’m basically flame working at the bench. In the world of glass the way I work reflects my multidisciplinary nature.
